On the 23rd of March Mary MacKillop Catholic Regional College in Leongatha, Victoria hosted the CSYMA LEAD student conference for the diocese of Sale.
CSYMA YMI (Youth Ministry International) Network members Lilian Davine (Sale Diocese youth minister), Jarryd Atkinson, Sarah Jeffrey and Huw Warmenhoven (National Members) conducted the event, which attracted over 70 senior students from 4 of the Catholic Secondary Schools from within the Sale diocese.
The day was filled with an array of presentations and workshops all aimed at forming and equipping the young people in attendance, allowing them to return to their schools fired up and ready for ministry within their respective communities. Students worked on developing their witness and testimonial skills, as well as how to use drama as a means to proclaim the good news of the Gospels. The day was finished off with the students being anointed and blessed, before being sent off to continue the wonderful and amazing work in their schools.
CSYMA would like to thank all of the schools who sent student representatives, as well as the students and staff of Mary MacKillop CRC for facilitating and hosting the day.
We look forward to more amazing development within the Sale diocese throughout the remainder of the year and beyond!Leave a reply →
